For Fleet Conversions

Renewable fuels are cheaper to install than natural gas and do not have all the fossil fuel related environmental impacts and costs.

Whether you manage a government, military or corporate fleet, we can show you how to upgrade to a greener fleet that is cost effective AND better for the environment!  And our fuels are cheaper to convert than CNG!

Gasoline Engines

For gasoline engines we will show you how to enable the use of ethanol (E85) or our preferred bio-methanol fuel.

Incremental costs for buying a CNG flex fuel vehicle is $5,000+, with similar costs for conversions. Incremental costs for conversions of existing vehicles for flex fuel using ethanol or bio-methanol is less than half that.

In addition, flex fuel vehicles using CNG require multiple fuel tanks and manual or automatic switching to change fuel source and these tanks are heavy and bulky.

CNG refueling stations are also much more expensive than stations for our alternative.

“The cost of installing natural gas infrastructure is influenced by station size, capacity, the type of natural gas (LNG, CNG, or both) dispensed, and the way natural gas is dispensed (fast-fill or time-fill). According to a report (PDF) published by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, costs of a CNG fueling station can range up to $1.8 million, depending on the size and application. Smaller fueling units average $10,000, including engineering, equipment, and installation. LNG fueling station costs are highly variable, ranging from one to several million dollars. Costs are dependent on factors such as storage capacity, station design, and the services needed to build it.”1

Since we can use much of the existing infrastructure, our fueling stations typically cost significantly less.

Currently, gas gallon equivalent costs for our fuel alternatives are comparable with CNG. However, with CNG you still end up using a fossil based fuel with a CO2 impact.

Diesel Engines

Our preferred fuel for diesel engines is bio-dimethyl ether (bioDME), which is non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-carcinogenic and environmentally friendly with a higher centane rating than diesel. Existing vehicles can be converted to use this as a fuel and filling stations are inexpensive to set up.

Diesel school buses converted to bioDME would no longer spew obnoxious diesel fumes that are unsafe, carcinogenic and can aggravate children with respiratory issues.
